Committee Accomplishments
Goals
Pictures
The St. James Property Committee is a group of parishioners with an
interest in buildings and grounds. The group feels that that they
can best serve God with their time and talents in maintaining and
beautifying his sacred places. The group enjoys:
- Having fun together in a Christian
environment
- Making friends and getting to know other
people
- Sharing the important things in our lives
together
- Planning for physical plant renewal.
- Performing service projects for the
parish community.
- Overseeing outside groups use of the
facilities.
- Planning the annual property budget.
- Coordinating property needs with other
Church groups.

St. James Property Committee accomplishments include:
- Providing wood working crafts for the church's holiday faire.

- Holding the annual "Sexton's Tag Sale" (Yearly)
- Championed sale of 18 Church Street. 2004
- Painted the interior of the sanctuary. 2004
- Painted the Parish Hall and refinished the floor. 2004
- Contracted exterior painting of all buildings 2003-2004
- Contracted repaires to the foundation draininge on the parlors.
2003
- Renovated the Parlors. 2003
- Moved the Church Nursery to the Conference room area. 2002
- Currently renovating the old nursery and kitchenette into a new
library, handicapped rest room and new kitchenette.
- Organize an annual church wide cleanup.
- Help with Shrove Tuesday pancake supper.
- Planning and coordinating the Architectural study and long range
property plan. 1999 - 2002
- Replaced the Parish Office ceiling. 2001
- Created an archival storage space. 2000
- Remodeled the assistants office. 2000
- Coordinated major renovation of the Rectory 1999-2000
- Planned and presented past Capital fund drive initiatives for
major property improvements, including:
1. Foundation and floor Renovation in the Nave with new radiant heat.
2. Foundation and Floor Renovation in the Choir Room area, and
accessable rest rooms.
3. Repointing of the exterior stone work and bell tower
4. Replacement windows in the Parish Hall and Parlors
5. New Roof on the Church
6. New heating system in the Church and Parish Hall

- Renovation of the Assistants rectory.
